21st World Days without Smartphone, February 6, 7 and 8, 2021

Seeking correspondents abroad

On February 6, 2001, I launched the World Days without Cell Phone & Smartphone after publishing, in 1999, a humorous detective novel, Cellular Killer without Apparent Mobile, published by Megacom-ik.

Today, more than ever, with some 7 billion mobile subscriptions worldwide and the deployment of 5G, this initiative has every reason to exist.

The objective of this meeting, which has become annual, is to initiate a reflection, a debate around this communication tool. Each year, with a proposed theme: health (2002), monitoring of privacy (2010), boundary between private & professional life (2012), environment (2015), 5G (2020), etc.

For 20 years, this event has had a positive echo, primarily in French-speaking countries. It was also sometimes relayed by foreign media, in Romania, Spain, Poland and Africa, in some English-speaking countries.

I hope that in 2021 my action will be relayed more throughout the world through one or two correspondents, in each country, especially among the contacts of "Global Stop 5G". Each correspondent will be free to organize an animation, a conference or an event on February 6, 7 and 8, 2021, as part of the 21st edition of the World Days without Smartphone. It will be enough to inform me so that I can announce it on my official site. The list of correspondents will be revealed via an internet link and disseminated to various foreign media.

At the same time, I will organize, on March 20, 2021 in Paris, a conference on 5G and will continue to relay the actions of "Global Stop 5G", which I have committed to do since January 25, 2020.

If an opportunity for contacts in Switzerland and Belgium arose, I would not fail to travel to meet and support the correspondents.

Le 17 octobre 2019 le polar humoristique « Tueur de Portable sans Mobile Apparent » (Ed Megacom-ik) qui est à l'origine du lancement de la Journée Mondiale sans téléphone portable (6 février 2001) est réédité pour fêter son 20ème anniversaire.

20 ans plus tard, « Tueur de portable sans mobile apparent » résonne comme un roman d’anticipation révélateur, sur bien des aspects, que le lecteur découvrira au fil de l’enquête. C'est aussi le roman dès 1999 qui évoquait pour la première fois le téléphone portable dans un récit.

Les associations qui souhaitent organiser une "signature /dédicace" autour de cet ouvrage peuvent se manifester. Une partie des recettes seront reversées à l'association organisatrice.
